One hopes that every child has a wonderful life and great opportunities. Too many children don’t.

Some children are victims of abuse, neglect, poverty and addiction. In turn they may become addicts, gang members, or homeless and fall victim to seemingly endless cycles of despair. Sometimes known as “at risk” kids, they deserve every chance and opportunity.

I’ve been volunteering with “at risk” kids in public schools since 1995. The students’ stories are important and their lives are precious, which is why I’ve started onehopes.org to chronicle their struggles. I hope their stories touch and inspire you to help.

Click “Stories” to read about them. To protect their privacy, all names have been changed to pseudonyms.
